Firstly I want to take the opportunity to thank all of the people on this and its sister site that offer some amazing advice and ideas. Following many previous owners and posts, I decided to utilise my RRS’s spare AV connections on the satnav screen.

With three connections on the unit, my options were simple, one to be connected to the rear DVD player, one in the dash board so I can connect things like my video camera and lastly, one for a reversing camera.
Having purchased the three connecting cables from this excellent site and a reverse camera from eBay I set about copying others and installing them. Several hours later, I’m pleased to report that everything works a treat – very pleased.

However, there’s just one final part I’m not able to sort – getting the system to recognise that the devises are actually connected and therefore usable without having to go through the diagnostic screen/code every time I want to use them. I guess it’s not the end of the world for the DVD and video camera connections, but it’s a pain for the reversing camera – I even took the trouble of taking the power from the reversing lights!

Is it possible to ‘re-program’ the unit to finish this mod? If so, how is it sorted?
