SAT NAV Map Reading Error

Been getting the error warning on my Satnav the last couple of days.

Is it associated to this report?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12485104

and the explanation?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8494225.stm

Or is it just LR quality? Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

Steuart solar flares would knock out all satnav systems not just yours................... and you all have the next 3-4 years of wondering when the world will stop because a magnetic storm has taken out all the satellites - we have even been required to open up the sextant boxes onboard the ship and check a) there is still a sextant inside, b) it still works (??????) c) the users haven't forgotten how to use one! BTW the first you will know there has been a major solar storm is when Sky Sports is down....... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

The question there though Tim is............ DO you remember how to use the old sextant?? Given you're the Cap'n and all...... Laughing Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Well cleaned the disc - no change

Works fine on short trips but when I went to Stirling I noticed it started again about 10 miles away from destination. Stopped and cleaned disc again but no solution. Noticed it was warm under the seat, may be an issue?

Started up the next day and no problems until near Aberdeen when it all started again. It just swaps between error and map/route.

How odd! Its in at dealer tomorrow so we will see Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

Possible cause is my "back up " copy cd. Advises the CD is too thick - but I have been using it for a year???

Dealer gave me a new disc to try and fault seems to have settled - dentist syndrome?

Maybe need to get a thinner CD Back up disk from somewhere Wink Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

Do it yourself Stuart,
