Are Halogen & Xenon headlights the same?

Are they the same as in if I bought a set of Halogen headlamps can I swap the bulbs and ballasts etc from my Xenon ones straight over or do they not fit?

on a halogen you can see the bulb and on a xenon its normally opaque and the bulb cant be seen..

Big DJ, do you have halogen lights at the moment, if so get a pair of Xenons off ebay, like the ones you mention, I did it a couple of months ago and the difference is dramatic, I sold the halogens on ebay so cost to change was only £50.00 Wink

I have xenons at present. Was looking at the ones above as the inners are black and didn't really want to risk breaking mine by splitting and painting them. Not 100% sure if they are Xenon or not tho?
