My Contis's have just been changed at 31000 and still had 2mm tread on all 4 tyres - corners were scrubbed though. Whistle Changed to Hankooks now. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

I may be the odd one out here. Running Goodyear wranglers - fronts replaced due to punctures at 30k ish. showing only half worn.
Rears now at 39k ish and still have 3.5 mm.
No sign of any uneven wear.

Bloody hell, I've done almost 33k in mine and 2nd set of front tyres are 3/4 worn and all the pads (2nd set) are ready for changing again!

Me too!!! 11000 miles and the Conti's are gubbed...best I get is 19mpg!!! and all I seem to read about is other RRs drivers getting nearer 30mpg!!! I don't drive like a maniac either so I feel like I must be doing something wrong!!! Or maybe I'm just less economical with the truth!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Agree with Hugh Haddow, I have Goodyear Wrangler F1's...... done 23k now and all four tyres still have between 5 -6 mm of tread left with no sign of uneven wear front or back.

I can't beleive the Conti's are to blame for such uneven rear tyre wear mentioned above, sounds more like a tracking issue but Conti's sure get some bad press on here!

Well, even LR blames them. '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

I had Pirellis on my RRS and at 9000+ miles there was no real signs of wear on them. Have heard of guys over on the VCUK forum having the same problem with Contis on the XC90s so it's not a characteristic exclusive to the RRS with them. The X5 is on Bridge stones and heading for 10000 miles now with a wee bit of wear started on the outer edges but I had a 4 wheel alignment done and they said it was out a bit so that should be it cured! Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

535d m-sport Platinum grey and a few extras.... Gone

X5 3.0 sd in Space Grey, 20's, Dynamic Pack, Memory Pack, Media Pack, Tow Pack, Rear DVD, Panoramic Sunroof, Steps, 7 Seat Pack, Reversing Camera with moving lines, programmable park heat, etc etc etc - Gone

Range Rover Sport Santorini, privacy, dvd, towpack GONE!!!

No point in blaming the tyre manufacturer, more likely it's the wheel alignment that's out.

I've learnt that these vehicles need 4 wheel laser alignment from time to time, but especially when fitting new tyres.
