Scratched my 3 week old RRS HELP!

HI all

Need some help can anyone recomend a very good small scratch/dent repair company or person local to Maidstone Kent? A road sign fell against Passenger rear door just above the arch and has left a inch long deep scratch then not even the best polish will remove. I have tried to contact my local Chipsaway agent but he must be busy or an holiday and wont return my call. And I need to get rid of it ASAP as it is P***ing me off everytime I look at it.

thanks

James

I've not had good results with chips away. They wanted to paint the whole panel rather than just the scratch and did it very badly. The end results are really down to the individual operator but when painting the whole panel they are never going to get get great results with a mobile unit. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I have managed to find a local guy from chipsaway says he has 15 years in the trade so hopefully he is pretty decent. Got him coming out Saturday to take a nose at the damage, but cant do anything for 3 weeks as fully booked up which I hope is a good sign. Last thing I want is a bodge job on a month old motor.

If a road sign fell and damaged your car then surely the owner of
the sign is liable for your repairs (I assume probably the Council).
Their insurance should cover the repair and I would be insisting it was
done by a LR approved bodyshop, why chance a cheapo repair Question 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Stornoway Grey

I hit a deep pot hole at about 30 mph in a Tuscan about a year ago. It left a nasty crack right down the front bumper. I was furious, the amount of road & council tax I pay there was no way I was going to pay for it repaired. After a couple of letters from a barrister friend problem solved they payed the bill, it was actually easier than I thought it would be!

Did you get a picture of the sign?

i got a local FINA garage to pay for repair when one of their forcourt signs, with a larger X shaped base was stood on a kerbed area, one of the feet scraped the car i had at the time, lucky the side skirt only and they paid up no problem
