Bahrain 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Nara Bronze

Update after 2 weeks and around 900 kms:

Thought I'd give a brief after 2 weeks of pottering around "under 3k rpm and not more than 110km/hr". Well firstly, I really thought it would only be a few days till I crossed the running in period, but turns out being extremely busy and already having owned an RRS previously, this took over 2 weeks!

Ok, some glitches first:

1) When I picked up the RRS, I noticed that the luggage compartment cover looked very 'stained'. Dealer took some photos and reported it, turns out alot of the cars imported have this issue. Not sure why, but said they would replace it. And my luck, all the other RRSs at the dealership had black ones (mine's cream), so couldn't even pinch one from another car.

2) The front cupholder retractable cover was very flimsy, and in fact 'broke off' into two pieces (i.e. the very first 'plate' where the little chrome lip is came away from the rest of the cover). Apparently it's just glued on, but dealer said they would replace it.

3) The front driver's side camera does not function. Everytime I click on Surround Cameras to view the 5 cameras, this one just has a blue screen with an 'X' on it. Again, dealer thinks it's faulty programming and would fix it.

4) Minor PITA: I now realise that the cameras under the wing mirrors are capable of storing alot of excess water once cleaned / jetwashed. So no matter how much you dry it off, the minute you start driving, your doors end up having water lines running all the way down! This, along with the dreaded and classic rear window 'seepage', annoy the hell out of me after the car's been cleaned! Embarassed

And now the good points:

1) THAT noise when you're just about to hit 3000 rpm and beyond! (i realised this couple of days ago after running in period).

2) The iPod connector both works fine AND charges it!

3) The Dynamic Program remains in that mode even after switching the car off and restarting after a while.

4) The paddle shift and adjustable side bolsters! Makes you feel sporty again Thumbs Up

5) Looks-wise, the LED sidelights on its own look the business when driving along, especially in the evenings Cool

Hope some of the info above might help you (especially the bad ones). Feel free to add!

ps. Apologies for not putting up more pics, will try my best to do so very soon..

Indeed, you are right, it does intake a lot of water. One suggestion, I avoid the annoying water marks by cleaning inside of the car after I washed the exterior. This way I stay around the car for much longer +15 min or so.. hence I can clean up the water coming from the mirrors as soon as it drops on the door Rolling Eyes Vadim A.

What mpg have you managed so far? I have a S/C TOO, and my mpg has improved recently after about 4k miles. Not sure about miles, but I do average of 25l/100 km. I'll change that to miles and will post again. Vadim A.
