Missing part or not?

Started using the AUX out option on the rear of the mid console, for my MP3 music.

This is when i found out that there was a neighbouring power outlet socket, which is empty.
Is this the standard config or should there be an cover plug installed or another sigaret lighter?

Always like to keep my car compleet.

Thanks!

SW

You should have power next to the AUX port on an HSE... mine did and was one of the earliest models.

I'm sorry for my imprecise message.

-The power socket is there and works.
The thing is: it's empty. Should there be a protection plug like in the trunk (against dust and little childeren fingers) or a second cigar lighter installed?

-Second thing is that the lid of the ash tray in the front won't stay closed...EASY FIX?

Thanks.

SW

No SW, mines just empty don't you have a cover that covers the aux and 12 v sockets?

Hadn't thought of the rear 12v socket needing a cover, especially to stop kids fingers getting in there.

Suppose 12volts on wet fingers would only produce a tingly feeling. Could be a competitor for rear DVD screens in keeping kids amused on long journeys. Whistle

Dunno about the front ashtray cover, mine has it's moments when it wants to open up when you close it. But it normally does what you want at second attempt. Maybe the gubbins inside have given up?

yea it doesnt come with a cover because theres a slide down one that covers the aux and the socket. Obviously noone gave though to the issue of it always being open if you use aux on the regular. I keep my iphone charger in there 24/7. WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph
