Minor service for the RRS is now £399 and £499 for a major service. Not bad value, til I phoned a local independent LR specialist who quoted me £250 and £350!!

I normally hawk the price around between Leeds, Hull and York and let them know what each is offering to do it for and let them fight for the business, York came in lowest last time on my 30K service.

I checked prices at Lincoln, Doncaster, Sheffield, Chesterfield and tn finally at Stratstones of Nottingham, Nottingham was the cheapest at £430 but I finally knocked them down further to £400.
Mine goes in for its service there on Thursday so I will be able to confirm this price Thursday evening!

Well car went into Stratstones Nottingham for its major sevice (2yr - 30k) and they did it for £400 which is well cheaper than anyone else I could find

Got the car serviced as described last Saturday. I reckon that must have been the cheapest in the UK from a main LR dealer. £270 including VAT for an A service. The car has 34,780 miles on her so the dealer did a 3 year 45k service. The MOT was discounted to £45 as this is due in July so I had it done whilst there. They tried to upsell me for a set of front pads and discs and they told me the aircon needed recharging (I had noticed it was cool but not cold). I gave them the go ahead for the aircon recharge which was a reasonable £80.00. The pads I said no to and had them checked at my local garage today. A few thousand miles still left on the fronts and the discs will see out one more set of pads. All up, I was £395 for the service, MOT and aircon recharge. Beat that! And good and attentive service to boot. Very pleased. Well done Parks Land Rover, Ayr. If you see a bandwagon - it's too late.....
