Some people would say the same about the 2.7 TDV6, but not all of us would agree! WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Please excuse my ignorance... When the next person goes to superchips for a 'remap' will they just get the original posters maps put onto their ecu? I am always dubious of 'chip' companies as mapping a car is very specific to the car and its engine, the last car I had remapped took 5 hours to map properly. Would a company like superchips fit a average map or would they take the time to do a specific map to each car? I have a 08 4.2 SSC and have to say the Overfinch engine upgrade is of interest to me but think I might as well look at other options first... MY00 Subaru Impreza P1 Sonic Blue 350BHP 320 Ft-Lbs

As far as I am aware they would just use my map as a starting point. They know they have already "understood" the ECU and then spend a day either mapping it to the customers requirements or to their view of what is best. I am happy to go with their judgement but could have asked for more power even though it would have smoked. Keith M |

Absolutely respect your point of view. It's not everyones cup of tea and if your V8 gives you everything you need then why spend the money. I only do it for amusement not to be the fastest on the road Keith M |
