hey they just made the Burkha and hajib tent thingy illegal over here

I completely agree with this.....

Its not a question of race or religion its a question of security.

If a man comes out of a bank with a balaclava you'd know something was wrong, you can walk round with a Burkha unquestioned......

remember the terrorist (male) suspect who escaped the country in a burkha with his sister's passport?!?!

Its ridicuous, if a westerener visits a muslim country we must adhere to there rules (quite rightly) so the same should be true here.

The pub where i used to watch the World Cup/Euro matches was great, took time off work and sat in the pub for a few days.

England tops (and other nationalities), flags virtually covering every inch of the pub, Motor spares shop across the road to buy replacement airhorn gas when I ran out, spilling the lager all over yourself when England scored when the whole pub erupted into one great big cheer and dance on your way back from the bar. The landlord made an absolute fortune from us.

A few complaints about noise at kick out time, (high Spirts, no fights) the pub closed for a refurb and re-opened with no TV or projectors and lost the football/sports trade

Nice stereotype! Laughing Last time I checked, you could still be a Muslim, Hindu etc and still be British! Wink

Guys, I think "patriotism" is getting mixed up with "racism"..

p.s. On a personal note, I think you should be proud of whatever country you hail from Thumbs Up

I think you will find the comment cited "Muslim, Hindu, Foreigner etc". Merely listing three groups who could be offended.

Unless my English is a little rusty I don't see any claim that Muslims and Hindus have to be foreigners (and therefore not English/British) in that statement. WINNER - 2009 Best Newcomer Award

RRSSS - Please don't imply that I'm a racist, personally I don't think I am and if you care to look at posts on this subject on this forum I think you might think again. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
