Near side front door locking mech problem

Anyone other than myself, ever experienced any of their RRS door locks sticking when unlocked?

All doors apart from the drivers passenger door won't open. After several attempts it opens.

Is this a common fault?

Had a phone call today,It's the latch that's gone.Had a new front sensor on front done also, quoted just over £300 all in, Sad which I don't think's bad considering they have to take grill, lights and bumper off to get to sensor's,plus strip door down to get to latch.Think I will invest in a tesco finest warranty when it come's back. Black on black 55 reg supercharged grill-vents black badges and 20" supercharged alloys with hankook tyres.

Hi
This is becoming more of a common problem with RRS's, as they get older, I have the same prob with mine 06, it seems to be the small motors within the latch start to weaken and don't have the strenth to open the door locks, if you sit in the car press the dash button or key fob at the same time pull the inside door lock (not the opening handle) you should feel it trying to work unless the motor has lost all power. I was reading this in the Disco site. and will be doing the job soon. It's only a half day DIY job to replace these latch mechanisms and they are around £35 + vat.

cheers

Had same problem on previous (MY2006) RRS and eventually parts replaced under warranty after a bit of table thumping at dealer. Sad Long suffering RRS Owner, but I can't help it!

Hi Guy's
Finally got time to do my o/s rear door latch, £67 from local L R garage and not the £35+vat which I quoted in my previous post, sorry Embarassed . Anyway I followed the instructions and exellant pictures from our freinds at the http://disco3.co.uk/forum/ although it was for the front door they are similar, so have a look if your doing the job yourself at : http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic33743.html?highlight=

I had a wee bit of trouble disconnecting the outer door handle cable from the old latch inside the door but with some sweary words and scratches on my arms Censored Finally got it, the door works as it should now. I checked both motors inside the old lock with my meter, both were goosed. The job took me around three hours but will be able to do the next one quicker.
I did not take pictures as the Disco3 boys have it well documented in the link above, have a look.

cheers
Wullie Thumbs Up
