iphone bt pairing with car

I have a problem with my iphone 3gs pairing with my car. Initially it pairs up fine, but each time i use the car i have to re pair it. I just phoned the dealer i bought the car from and was told that this is a problem with ipones running the latest 3.1.3 software, they said apple know about it as it is effecting many other car manufacturers as well, but as yet haven't solved the problem. The dealer suggested that is i roll back to 3.1.2 software i shouldn't get this problem.

There must be lots of other iphone users with the 3.1.3 software.....are you having the same problems? my rrs is a my06 if that makes any difference.

I tried disconnecting bluetooth and then re-pairing phone yesterday - using code 2121. Has worked fine since then again?? I'm baffled? Sorry I can't be of more help. I thought there was an iphone setting that made it discoverable/undiscoverable.
