Loss of power and mpg

Over the last week I have noticed a 3mpg drop in fuel consumption (same journey and driving style) along with a loss of low end power most noticeable when entering roundabouts for example. Now I appreciate that a 2.7 is not the nimblest of movers but.......

Any clues? The car is booked in for a check-up but as I'm taking it to the Alps next weekend I would like some reassurance that all is well.

Thanks in advance.

It could be any number of things, some of the most common are EGR failures and turbo hoses splitting and delaminating.

Pete - you were spot on. Thumbs Up Both EGR valves are faulty. Alas no stock though.

Many thanks for the advice.

Errr no. I can live with it though as once moving the performance is OK. But I would be interested to know more. Can you give some more info just in case it gets worse.
