Reversing guide lines in rear camera view - Gone?

Have RRS 3.0 HSE, got new in December 09.

Lovely car, I love the new interior and extra quietness, all the gadgets etc.....

Anyway, since getting the car, on placing the gearstick in reverse, the rear view camera shows up on the screen with an overlay of yellow lines indicating the route and width of the car.

Well, it did until last weekend when these lines suddenly disappeared; everything else works just fine.

Did I do something unintentionally or is this a common "feature"?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

With the rear camera and the surround camera options, are we suppose to have trailers assist???? If yes, I can't find the menu for it in the system.... Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I think it will only be available if you also have a towbar fitted, if that's any help. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

That's only what I can remember from glancing at the online manual the other day, so don't take my word for it! Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Thanks to all, I will discuss with dealer.

Much appreciated.

I wonder if they will clean it whilst this gets looked at, it's filthy with salt!

I think it helps you hook up to a trailer by directing you when you reverse so you can aim for the hitch, and then when you've got a trailer connected it shows you which way you're going to go when you reverse, hopefully avoiding all those embarrasing jackknife situations at the gymkhana Wink Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

I too have the reversing camera fault. Indeed the picture is reversed! The yellow guidelines have gone too.

I was told by the dealer that simply replacing the faulty camera doesn't fix the problem and they are awaiting news from LR on a permanent fix.

Has anyone had the camera replaced? Did it work? Anyone know when a permanent fix might become available?

Thanks.

I suggest driving to your dealer and reversing right through the plate glass showroom window and then apologising saying you got confused because the camera picture was reversed. If a few of you do this then the dealers might start pressurising LR for a quick fix Wink Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+
