Whenever we have a frost/snow my tailgate button freezes completely and it takes a good hour or so to defrost(not good as the dog then has to go on the back seats) and my parking sensors jam on. Anyone else have the same problem?

Nope! I park only in a heated garage

Have heard of the tailgate issue though many times on this forum.

As for the reverse sensors, they do get affected by the snow at times - just remember don't pressure wash them, just wash them normally

same on the Jag and the DBS when you park them overnight outside..

Must admit I do find it strange that LR have not fitted the tailgate with a soft touch sealed button similar to
the ones on the MY10 door handles. This would solve both the issue of the button freezing and also the issue

its been reported on the FL2 too

The boot release is a button covered by a rubber seal, water thats ingressed freezes and it feels crunchy, it then rots the workings and your boot unlocks and if you pull away it throws the contents of your boot over the road behind you ( like it did to mine )

luckily it was just a box with a bubble spa in it i was taking back to my mums, and the foam packing saved it, the other side is lucky nobody was driving behind me

only way to know the boot had unlocked itself was the dash display and the interior light came on, LR changed the switch gear no problems though and my new FL2 doesn't/hasn't done it
