interior console and dash

Hi guys
Am new to the forum, i dont have a RRS but am hopeful of getting one in a month or two. Love the car so much. Borrowed one from a mate, he has an Orange Stormer, and it was almost a life changing experience, absolutely loved it. But, after seeing the new version, the Mk1's interior dash and console are shown up to be really quite poor style wise. I dont mean to offend anyone, but green LEDs are so ford escort!

Could people post pics (if they have modified or updated the dash) as im really intrigued as to what can be done and if it is possible to modify the dash and bring it up to date as it were.

Thanks guys Thumbs Up

zammo welcome - don't worry the dash on pre 2010MY is awful. As far as I know no one one this forum has replaced dials etc, the only thing that has been done is the addition of wood/carbon fibre/etc trim. Some looks good but some looks awful. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

cheers bud
i dont mean to sound like an arse but its a real concern for me. The car is suuuperb, really really superb, just cant get over the interior.I got shot of my BMW M3 partly coz the dials resembled an air fix model kit (on a car that was £42k), and the dash was as dull as dishwater, and the diff was driving me crazy, but thats not important lol

I mean its what you look at when driving, and you have to feel happy with it. Do you know what i mean?
Anyway, thanks again

I'd say if money isn't an issue then buy a 2010 model with the new completely revamped interior - not a green led in sight Thumbs Up

Updated interior is one of the reasons I went for the 10MY. Huge difference, feels more like a luxury car ! MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Got to agree, loved the MY06, best car I have ever had, however, the whole feel of the cabin and controls in the MY10 is far superior and more comfortable, and no green LEDs on the dash, main reason I changed, now feels like a luxury motor Smile purple people eater

I'm sorry but the RRS interior in even the Mk1 is still a pretty special place to be. OK the MK1 needed upgrading to stay ahead of the competition but it's not a bad place to be.
My other car is a Lotus Exige which is at the opposite end of the tree, electric nothing, no comfort and the only concession is the AC because without it on a hot day your blood would boil.

zammo, not a Rangers supporter buy any chance? Elise S1 - Race Spec

Blimey, things must be looking up in Darset, normally they only drive tractors there. An RRS, whatever next? Rolling with laughter
