Have a atrange problem with my towing electrics, I have just connected a friends caravan after offering to move it for him but when I connected the 12n (black) connector and tested the lights I had all sorts of error messages coming up and lights flashing on the dash - i thought it must be a problem with his caravan electrics so left it to tow another day.

I have since plugged another trailer in and got the same problem - tried this trailer in another vehicle and all was fine but on the sport just sends the thing crazy. Have checked all the connections and fuses but can find nothing wrong.

All my lights work fine. The only thing I have changed since the last time I have towed is fiited LED side lights - surely this cant be the reason?

any clues from anyone? MY07 TDV8 HSE (BAS Remap), Java, Privacy Glass,Tasmods.

Im interested in fitting a tow bar and electrics - anybody got any experience or an idea of how much cost?

Ive heard the electrics are already there somehow

Both easy - search will bring it all up. Bar £150 on fleabay - electrics £80 ish and a 30 min fit

Elecs are a wiring kit - plug and pray

It took me 40 although I was working by torchlight and stopped for a tea break

From my experience, this is very new as i just picked up a new caravan and new motorbike trailer, both fitted with LED lights all round, when connecting any LED lights to your tow electrics on a RRS, D3, D4 and many other modern european cars you will get all sorts of problems.

I bought one of these to all my current D3 to connect succesfully, it will also work on my 2010 RRS S/C that is currently is on a boat in the Port of Melbourne.
