Echo on PTI

Just wondering if anyone can help. Have a 2006 Hse and when I call anybody on my Nokia 6230 when its in its (factory fitted) cradle people complain about the echo. Is there a setting on 6230 that can alleviate this problem.

I've also just posted on this subject - this looks to be the answer I was "kind of" looking for.

Does the volume of the phone handset make any difference to this problem, or is it just the volume of the car system that matters?

Ideas?

Hi James
Just posted a reply on your other post - yes the volume on both makes a difference. I find its best to keep the volume on the radio display when in a call no higher than 19 and keep the volume on the phone a minimum, this certainly gives the best results with Nokia's

On a different tangent the phone kit in the 2010 models seems to be far superior - i was chatting to my friend yesterday for 20 minutes thinking he was sat in his house before he admitted he was actually on the M1 doing around 70mph - crystal clear !! 2005 TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver Ebony Interior Sunroof, RSE, Side Steps

We have the same problem on most of our car kits (Vectra) and the general opinion is the phone software needs updated. Might be worth a try.

in MY06 (sadly missed) factory fitted cradle was as you say hopeless, keep volume below 19, but also as you say then you can not hear anyone, and you find you have to shout to be heard. Never got it sorted in 3 years and all my mates knew to hang up as soon as they realised i was in the car. The Bluetooth connection between my iphone and MY10 much better, and full display and phonebook on screen purple people eater
