But V8 we haven't had any such high temperatures up here like you have had in the south............ but the muck does look just like dried on winter salt. Hopefully the heavy rain we have at the moment will be rinsing some of it back off! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I suppose since you've had it waxed etc, the crap should come off easier when you wash it?

Agreed on the wax, seeing as Grey doesn't show the dirt as much would hate to see what a black car would look like after that drive.

Think I'll be doing mine today, looking very neglected at the moment, car's not looking too clever either.

John, I left the car parked out on the street in the rain for 24 hours (you may have noticed we have had rather a lot in the last few days!) which got a lot of the crud off then washed it with mains pressure cold water then another all round gently with a soft car wash brush attached to the hose followed by a hand wash with Macguires Gold in hand hot water. I was surprised how easily the car cleaned up, especially the wheels which required no effort to get sparkling again. I don't own a washing mit and have a garage full of car wash stuff..................... maybe time to have a garage sale and use the proceeds to buy a mit! Still have a free sample Zaino kit with goodness knows how many bottles of magic carcleaning potions in them to use sometime and a bottle of Demon Shine given away free from their website 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Too late, it's been washed by hand. It's never been through a mechanical car wash VA, it has enough paintwork scratches not to need any more! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I took it as a denial of the more usual meaning of 'carbon footprint,' no? |
