Side steps problem

Hey all, have run into a problem installing a set of 2nd hand side steps.

The steps didn't come with new side sills, so I told the panel beater who are fitting my steps to cut into the current sills. While the steps bolted on fine, they noticed there is a grove that runs along the inside of the sills, which they rekon will get in the way of the new bolts holding the steps.

To me, its looks like the bolts might clear the protruding grove, but only just. Has anyone run into such problems!?

Confused

Hi there UB... In reply to your message there is NO problem, the bolts heads sit above the 'grove' . . . I fitted a second hand pair and simply cut the existing sills with a hot wire, it took some time ensuring they were cut to the right fit now all fit perfect and looks GREAT Very Happy . . . . Drop me a line if you require further information . . . Thumbs Up

I have just bought and fitted some new side steps and they did not come with a replacement plastic sill. Instead they supplied a paper template so i had to use my existing sills, a little time consuming but i got there in the end.
Your a little Censored if you have no template though.
