New model or BMW X6

Its getting to the time when I am considering letting my TDV8 go to its next owner, problem is, do I get the new model in September or a BMW X6, which I hated on first sight, but is a wonderful driving machine?

The design is growing on me and lovely things like keyless go, softclose doors, rear camera, DAB....etc.

What do you think? 'Rolling Eyes' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

Rad - I am currently considering an X6 - trying to arrange a test drive in both both diesel variants however both my local dealers don't have demo's Rolling Eyes

Looking to test drive in the middle of June now so still some weeks away from making a good opinion

RAD, before I bought the RRS I was looking at X6 as well. I have driven it on many occasion. And I can only conclude that the X6 is a lovely machine, beautifully build, excellent quality and joy to drive. The functions that the car has are also not to compare with the RRS. Though there is something that the BMW will never have. The "flair" you get when you own a Lande.
And that is to me a no brainer...

Kaine, what is wrong with your current joy? Or do you just "need" a change mate?

I drove the Twin turbo X6 Tractor juice variant recently and it is a fine engine, however, and this is only MO, the inside was clinical and rather unexciting and it can only be described as the Janet Street Porter of the car world looks wise. Shocked Shocked

Front is acceptable, but not much different from any other BMW you see on the road, as for the rear....utterly horrendous.

A great driving machine it may be, but it lacks the looks for any real kudos and I would hazard a guess that the 2010 RRS will knock spots of the fugly spawn of Bavaria in obviously the looks department and allegedly driveability Very Happy ............3 months and counting Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Will - in case of the interior this is my concern with all BM's - I just fancy a change again

This is just an joke question! the 2 models you cant comparing. x5 x6 are nearly same, touareg or q7 or the ml and g-class. but between x6 and rrs are thousand miles.

first i also thougt the x6 looks awful. but now i like it. but i wouldnt think about this decision. RRS looks more better and i think its an car with more style. X6 i see every day in munich x-times. RRS every week 1-2 times. RRS TDV8 Modelyear 2009 with some modifications.
