Problems with factory stereo system

Hi All,

I've been having problems with the stereo system on my RRS 2.7 TDS (2005).

Every now and then, if the volume is high (and I like my music loud), it seems to cut out until I turn it back down.

This is quite annoying as it doesn't go very loud at all!

Has this happened to anyone else with this model RRS?

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong and how I can fix it?

Thanks

Does it says low power mode on the radio screen? If it does, either then engine is running and you have a low charged battery (need to be change), or if it happens with the engine off, it is a way for the car to save some battery...try with the engine running and if it still happen, u most likely need to change the battery. Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Thanks for that info Jimmy, but It isn't in low power mode and I installed a fresh battery not too long ago. So it definitely isn't the battery!

I've read on other sites that this is a common problem with RRS's but no answers with how to fix it!

It might be your alternator. To be honest we haven't really heard too much on this so it's not that common a problem - hence the lack of replies. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
