United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
How much for my 57 TDV8?

Hi all,

Unfortunately the time has come for me to part with my cherished TDV8.
Dec 07 57 Plate with just over 12,000 miles. Full LR Service History.
Black with black leather.
Factory Tints
Side Steps
Lamp Guards

Trouble is I've got no idea what is a reasonable price to let it go. I know Glasses guide is about £30.5K but that seems very low compared to what some are getting in private sales. I'd be looking to sell mine privately too.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks.

I'd try it at about £33500.....prices are slightly up....may be an idea to see what CHPR could do for you if you're not too far from them....

Just been offered £31,700 from a trader to take it off me now.

Undecided. I'm not desperate to sell but it would save some hassle marketing it. Is this a good deal?

Just sold a 07 with all the bells and whistles with 19k miles for £31k, so i think £33k would be about right.

By the way i had loads of interest in mine, sold it within 24hours so don't move much on price.

Well, I've had it up since Sunday evening at £33,500 and had several calls about it!

Quite shocked as I thought given the current climate and bad press I didn't think there would be much interest. Had 3 dealers now offering me £32,000+ which makes me wonder whether I might be underselling it.

Really appreciate the advice on pricing, I think I'll only settle for the asking price now. It just goes to show that the RR Sport is still very much in demand for the right price, despite what many dealers tried to lead me to believe.

SOLD.

Many thanks for your help guys. Got the asking price.

Can't help but think with the interest I had that I could have got a bit more for it. Can't complain though, nice quick sale, only put it on Pistonheads 3 days ago.

I'm definitely getting the vibe that car prices have bottomed out....
- A couple of my friends have lost out on relatively high end cars with reasonable(ish!) offers.

Used car prices are heading upwards in the UK at the moment: Most dealers are short of good late low-mileage stock. I heard of an '07 FFRR TDV8 going for £8,000 OVER bottom book last week at auction Shocked

The optimism in these threads helps all round perception....just lets the FTSE head over 4000, let the sun shine and see a marginal increase in house prices (by even 0.001%) and watch the nations mood improve!
