Picked up our first addition....impressed!!

Hi folks,

Picked my RRS from Reading yesterday and was pretty impressed to say the least. Filled her up, cruised back at about 70ish and got a return of 34mpg!!! At first, I thought maybe speedo was wrong but pogo alert displayed a 1mph difference in the cars favour.

Added 2 things before picking her up...piano trim and ps2/dvd rear entertainment. Not really wanting to do too much modding now. Quite like the look. Maybe some nice pipes and remap, but that's it.

Just need to get use to driving stance it as I'm totally paranoid kerbing the wheels, so been taking wide turns etc.

Some pics for your enjoyment

Thats her indoors sorted, now I can concentrate on getting my new m3.

Cheers folks...

Like I said, I'm keeping it as it is. No HST kit or Kahn add ons. I will endeavour in fitting some nice pipes to finish of the rear soon.

Will be adding my front "super duper" parking sensors, they have a long range...approx 1 mile range.

As to the remap, everyone has their favourite company. No unanimous clear winner it seems, so I'll need to do some more research.

Hi Cherokee...

It's a Tdv6. I beleive the v8's have proper tailpipes and not these flimsy turned down ones.

As to why I purchased it down south. Well, firstly $tealers up here don't budge much on price. Dealers down south are much more plentiful with good stock and prices.

I'll PM you with the details of where I got mine.

Regards

Pipes on TDV6 & TDV8 are the same. Couple of ways to tell (if they've not been changed). 1. the TDV8 has a SC grill with green badge 2. newer TDV8's have a TDV8 badge on the boot. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.
