Loud Squeal from rear wheels when pulling away

Had our RRS HSE for a few months and it is great........but there is a persistent loud squeak/squeal coming from the rear wheels when I pull away, which draws even more attention than having a RRS does!! Embarassed

I have taken it back to the dealer twice who dismantle the rear wheel assembly, clean and lubricate the rear wheel/parking brake area. Yet the sound persists!! At the latest attempt they suggest switching on the parking break whilst driving at less 10mph to try and clear it!!!

Anyone here had a similar problem????

Also any suggestions for getting those tiny oil spots off the alloys without having to revert to scouring?

It is however still a great car.....very happy bunny otherwise Very Happy

Thanks in advance for help and advice. Silver TD6 HSE 07 07

Warranty work ? Take it back to the dealer - and don't collect it until sorted - they'll be keen to get the courtesy car back - that or LRA it and the hire car will acheive the same motivation, if it doesn't you'll have a comparable drive for as long as needed - wrt the EPB - tell them to try it !

Oil on alloys?? ....oil?

Brake pad dust - there are specialist cleaners i think you can get for this - many on here recommend Meguiars i think - some are acidic cleaners others are not....

tiny black spot will be a mixture of brake dust and tar spots

a good wheel cleaner and tar remover should get most of them off, if your going to the car spare shop

Look at either Maguires hot wheels or auto glym clean wheels (non acidic) and choose either brands tar remover

Also a clay bar can work well on wheels too

I think the squeeking is probably the EPB binding on slightly, you need to take the car into a dealer and get it adjusted.
EPB must be costing LR a fortune in warranty claims for D3 and RRS, although (touch wood) I'm on my 2nd RRS and it so far had never had a squeek from the EPB and it always releases cleanly whereas on the last RRS it would occassionally bind on until I really revved the engine. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
