Check your door-mirror covers

My near-side door mirror cover was saved from meeting a premature end by my passenger who noticed that it suddenly started moving. He opened the window and it literally came away in his hand. No idea why; cold weather maybe effecting the glue?

Does anyone know what type of adhesive is used?

Thanks in advance, and it may be worth you checking yours just in case.

Do you have the body coloured accessory covers or was this one of the original fit. LR use some pretty powerful adhesive which on both my RRS's has withstood down to -10C in the winter in not so far north Central Scotland and it hasn't effected them at all. My RRS also lives outside all year round. From experience of trying to remove factory stuck on bits the glue is very tenacious and needs a hairdryer with full heat on it to soften it so you can remove bits. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I recently fitted my colour coded mirror covers and used Teroson (you can get this from Land Rover Parts). RR Sport TDV6 HSE 07MY Java Black

Tim - the part is marked with a LR logo but no idea if these were an original fit. I assume they were.

Mintleaf - thanks for the tip.
