GAP Insurance

Hi,

A few weeks ago I purchased an Alaska White RRS reg 57 plate. I have been advised to take a GAP insurance.

Firslt how does this work I have looked around and there are different types.

Now I would like to take out an GAP insurance.

Which company is the best one to use.

I have a HP with a balloon for only 2 years.

Thanks for looking.

Back to retail value GAP is the way to go .....costs a little more and can cover up to £25K.......but should your pride and joy be a write off it will put you back in a new one pdq. Can also give you cover up to 4 years and can I beleive be done on 2nd hand motors as well.

All car insurance companies only give you full back to retail cover for the first 12 months of its life, after that all you get is market value.....which at the moment won't be much.

I had the misfortune to try my gap policy out a few years ago and I was very pleased that a £250 policy paid out £18K, which put me back in a new motor.

So yes I've taken out another Gap policy on every car since then. Thumbs Up
