You are disconnecting a speaker that is running of an amp. Whats the big deal? Just unplug the subwoofer as u wish. There is no reason to unplug the ground first and what not.

And it is in your tailgate.

Does anyone know how to hook up an aftermarket amp for a subwoofer without using a high/low converter, but to actually use the line out wires that come from the head unit right before they enter the stock amp. Tapping into those will be easy to connect directly into an aftermarket amp for an aftermarket subwoofer.

I havent got the logic7 in the menu im pretty sure. Still impressed with the sub in the system i have got.... and i used to have a Jl audio W7 in my last car Shocked .

I read a lot on here about the Logic 7 not being worth the money before I purchased mine.. It might not be a giant step above the standard sound system in terms of bass and volume but it more than makes up for it in clarity and definition.

It certainly knocks the spots off my Audis Bose upgrade.

The only sound system I've had in a car thats better, was a Dynaudio system with Dolby Pro Logic in a Volvo.

Mark Levinson premium sound system in my Lexus is the best by a country mile, if you have never heard this sytem go into your nearest Lexus dealer and ask for a demo, all high end cars should have it IMHO Thumbs Up
