United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Selling up

Decided to sell my shop today along with a couple of the company vehicles .

My 2007 RRS TDV8 being one of them Shocked

My car is in mint condition having covered 11800 miles with 20'' wheels and privacy glass, finished in black.

The supplying dealer has offered to sell it for me for a fee of £1000 Shocked Shocked

They think the vehicle should fetch £38,000 and will give me £37,000 on completion...

Question is...do you think I should go down this route...and do you think it is a fair price?
Paid £41,9995 for it three months ago.

Advice greatly appreciated !

Regards,

Matthew. 19.1 mpg..who gives a fluck?

Seems reasonable - I'd be tempted to say £1K + 20% (for example) of anything over £38K as an incentive to maintain your expectation - otherwise they vould move it for £35K and still get their money...

But that has to be countered against moving it on and avoiding depreciation, you could incentivise them for say £36-38K this month, £35-37K next month to protect both sides perhaps...

Question Rolling Eyes

Thanks for all the responses so far !

Had a bit of a shocker today..called into a VW garage with the possobility of downsizing the car and doing a deal on a golf for the Mrs...

I sat in with the sales manager as he rang around for bids on the car,and it was a sickener !

He must have made twenty calls to different traders..the worst bid was £27500 Censored and the best £30,250 Evil or Very Mad

Can you afford for the company to sell the car to you for £27000? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Matt - I had a interesting experience with two VW dealers when I swapped my Allroad for the Touareg. They made the mistake of showing me who had quoted on my Allroad - it happened to be the dealer I bought it from and the same dealer I have my RS5 order with - it transpired that both dealers had asked the AUDI dealer for a price on a lower spec 2.7tdi Allroad with no options - rather than my hispec 3.0tdi. Due to my relationship with the AUDI dealer I called them to complain about the offer hence I found this out - my contact at AUDI told me these two VW dealers always do this as it of course helps them in moving the car on
