Jersey 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Chawton White

Bobby, thanks for that, two questions.

If I take the battery earth off does the whole electrical system shutdown, and then reset back to 'standard' when reconnected. And, how does the panel come out of the tailgate, is it on studs the pul out if levered or is there another trick to this.

gazza,

I suppose disconnecting the battery will shutdown the whole system. This is the general advice by LR, however, if you're careful with the wires, you might not need to do that. The risk is yours of course.

Thats what I thought - I have the logic 7 thingumebob, and was led to believe there was a sub in the tailgate. In fact during my early issues, they said they had checked the sub was working correctly. So Land Rover claim it to be there

Yet when my audio guys were going through, there was apparently no sub in the tailgate... time to explore for myself i think

You have the HSE so you have the Hi ICE by default. On the TDV8, Premium ICE, with the Sub etc is only on the HST as standard.

Whilst scrolling the audio settings Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader you'll come across 'Logic 7 - On/Off' if you have it.

My Tdv8 has Logic 7 under the Harmon Kardon badge on the front speaker grills too.

Yep, to clarify what I was saying.... the Logic 7 etc on the HSE is an option so you may have it, but if you spec'd the car you'd already know Wink It's only standard on the HST Very Happy

I read a lot on here about the Logic 7 not being worth the money before I purchased mine.. It might not be a giant step above the standard sound system in terms of bass and volume but it more than makes up for it in clarity and definition.

It certainly knocks the spots off my Audis Bose upgrade.

The only sound system I've had in a car thats better, was a Dynaudio system with Dolby Pro Logic in a Volvo.

Bobby,

I am trying to source a replacement sub for the RRS. Would you happen to know if what size the factory sub is, and, is it powered? By that I mean does it have a seprate power source in addition to the ouputs from the amp?

Hi guys,

excuse me jumping in here but I'm trying to improve the bass on my audio system too so very interested in the answer about whether the sub is powered or not. I have a TDV6 HSE (2006). Would this model include Logik7 as standard? If not, does that mean I don't have a sub in the tailgate? Even if I turn up the subwoofer setting in the Tone controls it doesn't seem to make much difference. Ideally I'd like to install a powered sub under one of the front seats. Anyone done this or anything similar?

Any advice or comments on audio upgrades, especially sub upgrades most welcome.

Robin
