EX-X5, get the Nokians off and get some decent rubber on. Budget tyres are dangerous IMO, they will increase your stopping distance and most budgets are terrible in the wet. Same as reps really, you are paying for better quality materials and R&D/design. You don't even have to go for full premium brands, brands like Kumho or Falken are really good but a lot less than Pirelli or Conti. Don't touch Nokian, Fullrun, Nankang (or Nankang ditch finders as we call them) or any budget tyre. www.designerwheels.co.uk

I don't have any experience of the Hankook as our suppliers do not stock them so I could not really comment. The Toyos are good tyres, but can wear a bit quick they handle and grip well. For road use we always fit Toyos or Falkens on 4x4s. www.designerwheels.co.uk

I have 22 Stormers with Toyos and they are wearing very well. I have done 7000 miles so far and they are as good as new - can you give me some advice of pressure for the tyres under normal loads - I'm sticking to 40 front and rear - is this right?? Thanks DW - Much appreciated..... Thumbs Up 2007 RRS TDV6 HSE JAVA/EBONY SIDE STEPS, REAR GUARDS. 22'' STORMER WHEELS. FULL COLOUR CODE. SMOKED SIDE LIGHTS

I would have thought they would be good as they fall into the same price class as Kumhos and Falkens, somewhere between budgets and full on premiums. It is only really the cheap budgets that we steer clear of. www.designerwheels.co.uk

NickM the standard pressures are 33.5 front and 39 rear for normal load on all wheel sizes if my memory serves me right. So we would recommend upping it slightly when using the lower profile tyre, so what you are running is about right. Because RR don't do 22s there is no 'recommended' pressure, just use your commen sense. Don't go over the tyre max pressure and start at the manufacturer recommended pressure and see how it handles and if the rerar feeling like it is moving around a bit up the pressure 3 or 4 psi. www.designerwheels.co.uk
