I currently have an 08 range rover sport 2.7 s tdv6.

At the moment the alloys are the very basic, I plan to purchase some stormers. Which size would be best to ensure the ride does not become to hard..

The 20"s or the 22"s??

having looked more around this site, I see bigger wheels can cause knocking and also if the wheels are non-standard issued the weight of the car can cause damage to the wheels.

so yes will probably look to get official 20"s.

Ryan, I changed the std 19" wheels for 20" OE Stormers and noticed the ride get noticably firmer.

There are people who have fitted bigger and claim not to have ruined the ride so it's all subjective as to what you have driven prior (Although I had a BMW Sport model, itself not exactly a cushioning ride on 35 profile rubber!)

I have a set of the supercharged wheels for sale if you fancied? Or are the stormers those ones with the ridges in the spoke? I always forget

Agreed 20s are the sensible way to go but I do think the 22" Stormers look good too, if you can't be convinced towards a set of Supersports

have to say i havent noticed any difference whatsoever running on the overfinch 22's

Just changed mine from the 19" standard to the 20" stormers. Tyres are 275 / 40 / 20. Ride slightly firmer but not uncomfortable and the wheels look great.  07MY TDV6 HSE, Zermatt Silver, Privacy Glass, Tow Bar, Phone Cradle, Mud Flaps

Another vote for the 20's

Go 22"'s!!! Mine are comming today, just tracked the shipment. I will post pics when they are here. My next decision will be to paint them matte black or not...

By the way, I am going to try and put on a 285-40-22. I will post back with my findings..

On the size issue it's a personal thing. We have sold 22s to people who think the ride is fine and at the same time we have people who really notice the difference. If you know you like your comfy ride stick with the 20s, if you are used to running around in sports cars with low profile rubber 22s will be no different.

the 285-40-22's are great. No rubbing, even in access mode. I will try to figure out how to post a picture

Just for what it's worth, swapped my 19's for 20" stormers on Monday. To be 100% honest the ride seems BETTER. Just seems to roll along really smoothly...Weird. And that's with budget Nokian tyres on??? I can only conclude its because the tyres on my 19's were completely shot (Pirellis). But I am very impressed with these Nokians. And I'd never heard of them before!
