IPOD connection - recommendation Please

Hi All,

This is my first post (after my Introduction Post).

I've been searching the forum for IPOD connection info.
Can anyone recommend a good way of connecting a video ipod to the RRS. I know everyone wants to operate the IPOD thro. the touch screen, but it seems this isn't available yet Big Cry

I used to use the INTRAVEE II in a previous vehicle (BMW) that fully integrated into the standard fit TV +SATNAV.

In the mean time is the official Land Rover ipod connectivity kit any good ? easy to install ?

Alternatively can I use the AUX socket in the rear with a suitable cable and still be able to change tracks and volume with the steering wheels buttons.

Thanks in advance Very Happy

By the way great site

you can use the aux slot in the back but you will need to control from the ipod....by the way the cable required is only a few quid. Thumbs Up

Guys - Thanks for your quick reponse
I picked up one of those cheap cables today, 3.5 mm jack plug at each end. One end in the ipod headphone socket, the other in the AUX socket in the rear. Works a treat Very Happy

I'll use this as a temporary measure, whilst I have a look around for more permenant options.

It would be nice if I could root the cable through the centre console, but it doesn't look that easy. At least the cable is black to match the interior, so it's not that bad.
