I think 22" would be the biggest I'd consider - in fact I think it looks great on 20"s too

Spotted an RRS on the M25 on Sunday with 24's. Took me an age to catch up with him as it was an SC and he wasn't hanging about. They did look a bit too big in my opinion (I never thought I'd say that about wheels). I think he'd had the arches rolled out a bit too. It just made the car look a little too 'drug dealer' for my liking, but each to their own.

Some of those designs, even in 24 look OK - and as you know I'm not the biggest fan of pimping.. only choice for me would be 22" Supersports fresh from the boys at Farnham. I suppose I would need the RRS first though

I've not forgotten about the prices and pics, I am just trying to confirm a tyre price from the US as the current UK prices for the 275/30/24 tyres are about £1600 inc VAT for a set!! You can get 305/35/24 in the UK relatively cheap but you WILL have rubbing problems. I can get a much better price on the right size, once it is confirmed I will post pics and prices.

Regarding tyres I'd rather pay the premium and avoid rubbing!

In terms of design I do NOT like chrome I'm afraid, I like your typical alloy wheel designs but am a firm believer in "Bigger is Better" hence the 24" enquiry.

Do you think I'll have problems and should go for 22" or do you think with the right tyre I wont suffer?

No problem on the chrome front, to be honest I was going to strongly advise against it as in the UK they will end up wrecked in 6 months.
There are a few options on the painted front which I will post up, but not that much as most 24s are chrome (American). The other option is a multi piece wheel (2 piece or 3 piece) so you can have all the finishes completed to your specs, but these are expensive. Once I have the tyre prices tonight I will put them up.

The other option is to run a set of good looking 22s and lower it as this makes the wheels look bigger. That way you get a better ride and handling and the large look. It is still not the same double take wow factor of the 24s, but goes some way to the look you are after.

do you have a picture of the car with 24's in normal ride height?

To be honest I don't have any and it will be very hard to find any as all thge retailers and manufacturers put the cars at loading height to make the cars look as good as possible. I'll ask a few manufacturers and see if any one does have any. www.designerwheels.co.uk

Right, I've spoke ot all the manufacturers and they really do not have a lot availalbe in 24s that are not chrome! The Dvinci Blade II are available with a black centre and come in at £4269 inc VAT.




Ther other option is a multi piece forged wheel that is bespoke so you can get exactly the colours and finishes you want. I can give you great prices on ZE Forged, in a 24" 2 piece wheel is £4925 inc VAT or in a 3 piece it is £5045 inc VAT. These prices are with 275/30/24 Kumho Ecsta ASX tyres, if you want 285/30/24 Pirelli PZeros add £165 to the package price.

The other option is 22s (of which there are loads) and a lowering module. Let me know what you think.

24s make the RRS look like a toy imo.

un-subtle, gawdy, pimpish, ott, - they just do not SUIT the car!

I mean im not suggesting putting supermarket trolley wheels on - 22 (max) stormers, tigers or schargers are the way forward I reckon.
