TDV8 to be withdrawn?

I took my RRS in for it's second service yesterday, can't believe I have had it two years.

Well I had a RRS TDV8 loan car from the sales dept, must say did enjoy the extra power it gives, but I found I was accelerating everywhere I could, and felt I would be bound to loose my licence before long, maybe the novelty would wear off after a while and I would slow down a bit. Shocked

Anyway, when I collected my car and asked for a price for mine, was offered £31,500 before any deals to buy a new one, not quite as much as I was expecting, it never is, but I have only done 8400 miles in 2 years.. Surprised

But they told me they had heard on the grapevine that there were going to be changes made to the TDV8 as it wasn't EU compliant or something, and that the new TDV8 would be for the RR and D3 with the RRS to keep the the TDV6 but to fit twin turbos, like the Jag engine.

When they pressed LR about it they said they would neither confirm or deny it?

If this has already been discussed on here before, sorry as didn't want to trawl through all the posts. Laughing Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

There are some new engine developments in the pipeline... but I don't believe anything has been confirmed as yet by LR. The 2.7 is allegedly due for retirement, with replacement by a 3.0 unit... and the petrol V8 is due for a change too. I wasn't aware the 3.6 was changing, but who knows until there's confirmation.
