Bit of a long story, but a mate of mine who is putting a business venture together to salvage a company going through bankruptcy in the US, needs £60k, he had the whole investment but the larger stakeholder backed out as he couldn't get the money in time. Basically he is looking for a private investment loan of £31k to which his company will guarantee a payback in 12 month of £31k + 10% interest through the solicitors from his UK company which is handling this transaction. The timeframe that they need this money over is in the next few weeks, they have raised the funds through family to go forward with this deal but need to get this money back to their relatives as its not really spare cash right now for them.

To be honest, i'd not heard of the drifters either, til i heard of this little salvage operation, its quite an interesting situation, and one which might become quite lucrative, if i had £31k lying around, i would invest myself..
