I have been looking around for a good deal on a new RRS TDv6 HSE through personal contract hire. A car broker in Scotland(who supply for cash and leasing) reckon they do £7k off the price and supply in September. I questioned how they could do this. They said it is because they have a good relationship with the manufacturers and placed many orders in advance. Is this feasible?...sounds too good to be true.

Check that this is not an import, you may not get the same specs as an english model and it could be harder to sell on in the future. Also I know some insurance companies are loading premiums on none UK supplied cars.
If all the above are OK then its sounds like you have found what looks like a very good deal.  Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Yes, beware even the term 'UK sourced' One broker I first spoke to, said he got them 'UK sourced' but his sidekick later confessed they got them in UK from another Import Company. That way they could claim 'UK sourced'

At the moment no dealer worth his deal will give discount on a Td they are so heavily sought after.

If you are prepared to ring around you may find a cancelled deal at odd dealers. Only the other day my dealer told me he had a TD V6 cancelled and it sold again by end of same day.

As for 7k discount, no way! On a standard RR they gave 9k off a couple of weeks ago to try to move them. Dealers are crying that they cannot sell standard RR's. because of the Sport.

I went out again in a friends TD6 RR the other day, one which I always considered quiet. Now, it's like a tractor compared to my Sport

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!
