ummmmm

so you don;t think it could be balancing...i have my doubts...they did take the whole front apart effectively maybe by doing that and reassembling thats ahd some sort of affect..the bushes on the anti rolls were checked etc...but i am not going to mess around with them....i have my solicitor on standby...so we shall see what they have to say..and how the car feels...

roll on saturday i guess,. TDV8 3.6

I hope it IS the balancing mate... but did they not look at this first time round? It'd be a shame that it was something so simple after this whole kerfuffle Very Happy

balanicing

yeap they did..however they took it to some garage to get it done...next to them......this time around they have done the geometric stuff and balancing etc..done in house..at their servicing depot..sales room and service are in diff locations.

I should here later today by the sales person whether it is all hunky dory...the guy has tested the car twice so he knows what to do...effectively...

will update as soon as i know something...oh...what a drag...only had the car for like a week before it had to go back...never had this on any other car...esp paying best part of 50k..for one! TDV8 3.6

Yep - you're not the first and certainly won't be the last mate.... I can only say in defence of the brand, that you're in the minority, not that it helps you Very Happy Hopefully it'll all be sorted and you can look forward to years of pain free RRS ownership Thumbs Up

here we go

loks like there is still a problem...albeit a small vibration which they are suggesting is normal. I pretty much freaked out saying how can that be normal..if its normal it should be published in your brochures. They are trying to rectify it today ready for me to collect tomorrow..

I am basically in a situation where i full refund will be given...or an exchange. They have another TDV8 57 plate...same coluor..but no sunroof or TV. is 2.5k more expensive.but they are willing to exchange...not sure to be honest...said i would test drive that one and my one...and if they are both the same..may knock it on the head...and go for something else...

its a real shame..as i love the motor...looks superb..by far the best one out there..oh well..hopefully they will have a moment of inspiration and sort it out...they have had the car more than me...going to ask for a refund on the finance cost during that period...i bet they are very sorry they ever met me!!..

hey ho..life goes on i guess. TDV8 3.6

At least you are standing up to them... I'm sure they expect the average customer to roll over and accept whatever problems there might be. Let us know how the final instalment finishes Very Happy

finally...and hopefully final update

well...finally got the car back on sat...drove a new TDV8 and my one. No comparable difference..looks like they have sorted out the probs.

they also puregaurded the iinside\out for free and filled the motor up. Very happy. Its looks like it was an alignment problem with back wheel one left side passenger one. also they found the fluid stuff in the wheel..(stops you from having a blowout) which they said also be a cause...looked at the literature on it...and did actually mention you may feel a slight vibration...etc.

Took the car out at over 100 (not MPH....Wink..that woudl be illegal) and all was good...slowed dow to 50mph and accelerated to about 70 and maybe above about 10 times...all good not vibration...

very happy. only downside is the alloys while being worked on were scuffed and scrapped...but they will refurb them all for me this week...and i think some of the pureguard stuff got on the plastic rubbers around the windows...causing it to discolour...but they will sort that out also...when the wheels get done.

I think it helps a great deal..if you get to know the service manager very well. This is the hainuault garage...and he was very good. Now that i have a history with him...i am sure...he will be good to know in the future..!.

sorry for long message...but walking out this morning...seeing the motor sitting in the drive..can;t help but smile!... TDV8 3.6
