United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Service - Dealer or local Garage

What's the recommedded place for the first service - LR Dealer or local garage?

As I understand the warranty is still valid if you use a local non LR garage and service costs a lot cheaper.

Personally, I wouldn't muck about on your first service. Take it back to a LR dealer and get it done there - service costs from a dealer vary wildly between about £300-500 so it pays to shop around anyway. That said, there's nothing to say that an independent can't service your car, but I'd want them to be familiar with the RRS and it's workings. I certainly wouldn't be taking it to your local grease monkey simply because he only charges £25/hour labour.

Agreed. The RRS is a feature rich v complicated machine. Some faults a Land Rover dealer isn't able to fix 1st time around. Every fault seems to be fixed with a software upgrade too. Even the knocking noise. Mental. Imagine get that fixed somewhere that didn't have the LR software..... Big Cry

That said, my grease monkey will do my pads etc. I've heard some people quote mega money for stuff like that from a Land Rover dealer. 2022 P440e AB

Shocked £150 is £150 I don't think it matters if you paid £55K for a car, value for money is what counts here whether it's your personal cash or business. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Damn right Mad

I'm saving £150 by shopping around, whats wrong with that?

Just because you pay 50/55k for something it doesn't mean you want to throw money down the drain.

Anyway mr BH or whatever your name is, how much do you pay to service your Lada Mr. Green
