Hi all, I'd just thought I'd pass on some info on a 4WD show that the Land Rover Club of the ACT, the Southern Tablelands 4WD Club and the ACT 4WD Club are jointly running next year. It's a great show.

At the last show, Land Rover provided a RRS for our test track. I drove the vehicle for a major part of the weekend. Interestingly, we used a new Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol and the RRS in developing the track. In some places the track had to be modified to accommodate the cruiser and patrol as they had a hard time getting through. The RRS just walked through. A 'party trick' with the RRS was to 'cross axle' it on some offset mounds and see-saw it pivoting on two diagonal wheels. Total air under the wheels off the ground was up to two feet. Getting out of this was just a case of slight acceleration. The vehicle made it look easy.

I would recommend the show to all that can make it. Come and say hi at our Club tent.

Ben, hope to catch up at the show. I haven't got a carputer fitted, it's a Eclipse AVN6000 with some bits added. A mate with a D3 might have a carputer fitted by the show and you can have a look at that one.
