They're not making cradles any longer, so all you'll be able to get hold of is what's out there.

What phone have you got, that you want to put in a cradle? The choice was limited at the best of times...

I believe so... I think VA did (or used to do) this for a while... he might be able to confirm.

I used 2 different numbers and my main phone diverted calls to my rrs phone when not answered. I have a nokia cradle available to buy. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Hi, I was going to buy a the most advanced phone to suit the cradle. There seems little point having the connections for power and the external arial if i can;t use them with a half decent phone. I use bluetooth already and have an unsightly power cord laid across my centre console between my phone and my permanently open ash tray - This occasionally gets trapped behind the gear shift Evil or Very Mad . Something i was trying to avoid - there may be a market here for building an adapter that just gives access to the power and the arial - at least i could just dump the phone in the centre console Exclamation

VA,

I may be interested in your phone cradle, I have just purchased a used Nokia 6230 as I am fed up with the lack of reliability using my Orange SPV M3100. Very hit and miss.
How much are you selling for? Enjoying life and spending the kids inheritence

Yeah i can get the power from the back just seems pointless having the phone stuff in there - the ariel is the main problem - where i live has poor reception so without the ariel connection i end up parking a mile or so away to ensure i can end a conversation without getting cut off Smile . I had a similar problem on the BMW but there was a little more choice on phones.

Yeah, the thing is Corben that the mobile phone manufacturers move much more quickly than car manufacturers in terms of product development and a lot of car mfrs are dumping cradles in favour of Bluetooth connections. LR have always had BT in their PTI implementation, but it's functionality had dragged behind that of BMW, for example, until a recent upgraded BT module allowed phone book sync etc, If you want an advanced phone I'd plump for the one you want and pair it over BT (although I take your point about power and aerial).
