Unsealed Roads

Sunday i had a good run to St Albans, no not near Watford Smile but North of Sydney on the old Northern road, which is pretty unsealed and very holey in places. Some great scenery, but not any worthy enough for a photo for entry into the Calendar competition, i am saving that for the Great Ocean Road trip

I had to stop a few times for some local wildlife, this little beauty ran in front then beat a hasty retreat up the local tree, was just over 3 feet long with the tail i would say..

and then get home and clean the dust off.. its amazing the amount of cr@p that gets thrown up by the road

it nearly obliterated the RRSPORT.CO.UK window decal

Only one problem, i noticed a continual metallic based reverberation from underneath, i do not think it is anything mechanical, or i hope, maybe something has worked loose, so into the Landie care home at the earliest opportunity to get it sussed.. yet another Pommie living in Sydney

I remember driving up to the Hunter Valley about 15 years ago and there were loads of road signs stating 'Don't blame us blame the government for the state of the roads!'' (Can not remember the exact quote!) RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

VA the state of the main road system is pretty shocking, in particular the Pacific Highway which runs to Brisbane nearly and is no better than a B road in the UK in places. However there are some roads we go and find for some off-road Gravel driving, they are usually in the bondooks with great scenery

Cheers

Zilch, that reverberation you mentioned, I have this with mine (D3), I think it is the spare wheel vibrating when going over anything less than smooth surfaces. I've made sure it's pulled tightly up to the rubber stops, but the reverbs have not gone away. I must take the spare down one day,(not in this weather though), secure the cable and drive it, to see if the noise disappears. RRS TDV8 Java (in my dreams). ..........Disco3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i
