United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Its due to the "swirl" effect created by the shape of the vehicle when driving forward. The air flow accross, along and under the vehicle doesn't flow away from the rear of the vehicle very well due to the rather flat back end (yes it is even worse on a D3). In a "smooth" saloon, the air sweeps over the rear window and off the boot lid taking all dirt and rain etc away. In the RRS the air creates an eddy behind the vehicle which swirls back onto the rear end, taking dirt and moisture and plastering it onto the rear window and boot lid and bumper. Due to the size of the vehicle, there is a lot of air displaced, so a lot of dirt and moisture is constantly being thrown around back there. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini
