Diesel Particulate Filter

I see that there is a new supplement to the owners handbook regarding the DPF on the Owners Info site http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree2viewlrprod/index.jsp
This was a topic of discussion on the Freel2 website a few weeks ago

If DPF FULL, SEE HANDBOOK appears in the
message centre, carry out the following
procedure.

Warm your engine and drive for a further 20 minutes keeping your RPM between 2500 and 4000

Hmmm 6th gear 4000rpm = ???mph? = bye bye licence Shocked Whistle

EDIT... If it dosn't work, Rinse and Repeat until smelling fresh Thumbs Up Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Is this only for the 2008 model? Or are earlier models fitted with a filter as well? Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I have a feeling it is in responce to an issue with the TD4 Freelander2 as there have been issues with them in Germany where the DPF is mandatory and when it gets full the car would go into Limp Home Mode.
The supplement only comes up for the European 2008 MY vehicles, there is no mention of it in my handbook nor was there any mention of it from the dealer. I know it is an option on the FL2 for the UK but never seen it as an option for the TDV8 RRS. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
