United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Can anyone provide information on what the latest satnav DVD contains versus version (EU) YIW5000126, which is the version I have? Apart from increased country coverage and new rosd inclusion of course! For example, POI's - vers 126 doesn't have LR dealerships. Does the most recent version have congestion charge zone on it for example, thus allowing you to avoid it if you want?

How about TMC coverage? My wife's Toyota has TMC on the 5 mile scale. New Freelander has TMC on even larger coverage area. Useful when traveling larger distances.

Do all these software updates people talk about take care of any of these issues and keep the system state-of-the-art?

As you already assumed it is just an update, no great extras just coverage. Not sure about Congestion charge as the present sat nav does allow you to avoid toll roads but I doubt the this new disc will be so up to date to include the new London Zone. As for TMC I presume you have the premium sat nav already but this covers what you need surely! RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

I guess he made a typing mistake. 12 is quite old, it's the original from 2004. The latest ones are supposed to have a much bigger POI database, and does include LR dealers, as well as map updates.

The latest is YIW500250. However, there is a new one coming out in the very near future, so it would probably be a waste to get 250 now. The new one coming out will be the first to have full 100% mapping of Ireland.

The only difference between YIW500250 and YIW500200 is a software update (I'm guessing to bring everyone up to the software level on the 08MYs) - the maps are the exact same - Navteq Q305.

YIW500012 - 2004 (05MY) Q3 2003 maps
YIW500013 - September 2005 (06MY) Q3 2004 maps
YIW500200 - September 2006 (07MY) Q3 2005 maps
YIW500250 - April 2007 (08MY) Q3 2005 maps

YIW?????? - May/June 2007 - Q3 2006 maps

My brother has an X5 and can download updates for his SATNAV system maps from the 'net for free! I know because I burned the update DVD on my PC for him.

Lastly, don't pay for the SATNAV on the move - just use the code 1791 after accessing the secret menu on the Nav Screen. This has been detailed on here before and I always use this method.

There is no way I would pay a stealer £100 to do this upgrade, Robbin Barstewards ! If you drive it - it will rattle, clunk and knock (for what seems to be no reason whatsoever) !

If you are thinking of buying a RR Sport, read this forum very carefully first !
