I've not bothered about this since I got the car.....

I was told when you park the mirrors should fold in.....they don't, I have to press the button to make them do it, someone else at LR said they DONT.

Which is it? Should they or shouldnt they?

To the best of my knowledge, you have to push down the button to have the mirrors fold in.

Same goes for the FFR & the D3.

The Freelander seems to be the only one, which has the mirrors fold automatically when you lock the doors.

Yep, the FL2 got a few extra bits of wizardry that were missing on all the other LRs, and autofolding mirrors is one of them
