Pentagon SupaGlass window tints

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience with using Pentagon SupaGlass which in addition to tinting the rear windows puts clear film on the front windows and is resistant to attack even with a baseball bat.
My only concern at the moment would be that it would be difficult for the emergency services to get someone out if they needed to smash the glass for an extraction.
Cheers,

Hi Va,
I'm not, but the reason it's on my mind is that my wife actually rolled our Discovery about 6 years ago,she was lucky in that she was only doing about 30 mph at the time and had great support at the time of the crash as my neighbour and a nurse saw it happen and helped her get out through the back door as it came to rest on the drivers side..
She had extensive lacerations to her arm which got dragged along the floor,if the drivers window had been laminated clearly it would have saved her from any injury, just a bit worried that it may be difficult to get out through the front or back windows heaven forbid we ever need to.
On balance I think I'm going to have it done as the benefits seem to outweigh any disadvantages.
The main advantage to me is that it will stop anybody carjacking or just trying to steal valuables at traffic lights etc.
Cheers,

So what's that foot tasting like, VA? Rolling Eyes

Chris, the Supaglass is very well regarded and sounds like it should a very worthy investment. Pentagon are pretty much it when it comes to glassworks for your car - their plain ordinary tinting is the best you can get, in terms of fitting Thumbs Up

We don't let anyone else tint our customers cars!

Supaglass is very impressive indeed. We have had a couple of demonstrations where they Supaglass one of their own cars and attack it with a hammer infront of the team (all very disturbing to watch). They then show how the glass can be pushed out from the inside but not pushed in from the outside (if that makes sense).

Thumbs Up

Didn't go the supaglass route but used them to film tint the rear windows and tailgate and have to say work is absolutely top notch.

Has survived one VERY hot summer here with absolutely no issues Thumbs Up

Thanks for the input guys much appreciated.
Sorry if my reply came over as a bit stroppy VA it wasn't meant to be.
Given the glowing endorsement from CHPR I will go ahead as it answers my only concern which was how do you get out if you crash.
Thanks for helping me out again,
Cheers,

Yes, but it's getting out from the inside if you still have the use of your limbs that Chris was wondering about, I think. So, you can kick your way through it if necessary but it limits ingress into the passenger cell - clever stuff Thumbs Up

Chris - no problem. I see your concerns re emergency but there are very few situations when lack of easy entry could cause a problem but still a valid concern. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Shmoogle and Npinks, yes that's what I meant,an example would be if for whatever reason you ended up in water and had to smash the window to get out because the doors wouldn't open.
When my wife crashed they wanted to get her out quickly because they were concerned about the car going up in flames as they could see diesel running down the road.Fortunately her neck was OK otherwise it could have made matters worse, interestingly she seems to think it was our window cleaner who came out on the shout (they are all volunteers) and put her a neck brace on before the ambulance came with a spinal board.
Thanks ST it's great to get some feedback. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I've had their Supaglass film on previous cars. Its good stuff and a good service/guarantee. Thumbs Up

I also had an accident and thanks to the film all the glass was intact so no glass injuries. Vehicle examiner was amazed that the glass had survived intact.

They didn't fit the supaglass to the rear screen on that car because of the heated elements. So in an emergency that would leave a way out. Suggest you have a chat with Pentagon to put your mind at ease. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
