Side repeaters - colour coded

I experimented with an orange lens (off something else). I sprayed it lightly the same silver as my RRS just enough to cover up the orange. I then held it over the bare bulb of a side repeater and lo and behold it gives a bright orange light.

So why worry about getting clear or smoked side repeaters when you can thus colour code the originals?

If anyone tries this, please let us know how it goes !

only problem with spray painting the side blinker is that it chips off quite easily,
unless done properly. doesn't really matter whether you spray from the inside or the outside.
