Since 4 days now my tdv8 has a ticking noise on the left side of the engine. (or it was always there and i start to be crazy)
It's a noise thats normal for older or smaller diesel engines , but i never heard it on my tdv8 before.
Before people didnt even heard it was a diesel and now people tell me "yeah you can really hear its a diesel"......

Do other tdv8's also make that real diesel noise or its time for me to go to the dealer ?

Ummmm - does this noise depend on the weather? Does it only happen when it is cold outside or there has been a frost? It sounds to me like it might be the Fuel Burning heater fan in operation - the FBH fan on my TDv8 is quite audible compared to the TDv6 which was only noticable by the exhaust smoke coming from under the front bumper 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It could be a camshaft follower problem, or a spray pattern problem with an injector
