Here's a dumb guy in the USA trying the same thing, but with a twist, with his Hummer

I think a Landy would do the same thing but I would like to think that no Landy owner would be so stoopid! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Do you know why the Highways Agency and Plod are returning to FFRR's and D3's for motorway work?????

They are the only patrol vehicles that will tow a fully laden artic off the m'way in standard as it left the factory with no modifcations mode without throwing it's transmission out of the gear box and onto the hardshouler! All the other SUV's eat their transmissions as soon as you hook them up to 40 tonnes of artic truck! I heard from one plod recently that one of the one of the Scottish Police forces switched their entire 4x4 fleet from Land Rovers to Mercedes M class and R class................................ except the purchaser didn't realise that the standard car is 2wd and you have to specify 4Matic, did a really nice deal with Mercedes and now they are having to go crawling back to LR, tail between legs and buy proper 4x4's for country and M'way patrols. The local Council tax payers are really pleased that they have forked out a fortune for new Mercs on a contract over 5 years and now the plod is begging for more money to buy a fleet of proper vehicles for the job! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, it happens here most of the time with local councils etc., except that in our case the purchasers were fully aware... Wink Malaysia Boleh!
